Work at Lyte Psychiatry

A small Texas practice in Pantego, in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, with telehealth statewide. Therapists and prescribers work in the same practice on the same record, appointments are long enough to do the work properly, and the admin is somebody else’s job.

What it is actually like here

W-2 or 1099 — your choice on the clinical roles

W-2 comes with health, dental and vision contributions, paid time off, and a CE stipend. 1099 pays a higher rate per visit and leaves benefits and taxes with you. Both are offered for the LPC and PMHNP roles, and we will talk through which actually works out better for your situation rather than steering you. The front-desk role is W-2 only.

Hybrid, genuinely

Clinical staff split their week between the Pantego clinic and telehealth from home. The in-person days matter — new evaluations and patients who do better face to face — but nobody is commuting five days a week to take video calls from an office.

Appointments long enough to do the work

Evaluations are scheduled at a full hour and follow-ups at 20 to 30 minutes. We are not running a 10-minute med-check mill, and we do not set volume targets that only work if you document at midnight.

Therapy and prescribing under one roof

Shared patients, one record, and a colleague down the hall rather than a fax number. Prescribers and therapists here actually talk to each other about the people they share.

Admin that is somebody's actual job

Benefit verification, prior authorisations, scheduling and the referral queue are handled by staff who do that work, not squeezed between your patients.

Licensure and CE support

CE stipend for W-2 staff, supervision provided for LPC-Associates, and the practice covers credentialing with the plans we participate in.

Bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Individual therapy in English and Spanish for adults and teens, hybrid between the Pantego clinic and telehealth.

Carry an individual therapy caseload of adults and adolescents, in English and Spanish
Coordinate directly with the prescribing team on shared patients — same practice, same record
Complete documentation within the workweek, not on your own time at the weekend
Contribute to the Spanish-language patient materials we are building out

What we need

Active Texas LPC or LPC-Associate licence in good standing (LPC-Associates: supervision is provided)
Professional-level spoken and written Spanish
Comfort with telehealth and an EHR
Experience with depression, anxiety, trauma or perinatal mental health is welcome, not required

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)

Psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults, with physician collaboration and a caseload that is not built on 10-minute visits.

What you would do

Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
Work with a supervisory psychiatrist who is genuinely available, not a signature on a chart
Coordinate with the in-house therapy team on shared patients
Return evaluation summaries to referring providers

What we need

PMHNP-BC certification and an active Texas APRN licence with prescriptive authority
Active DEA registration
Comfort with telehealth and a willingness to work in person at the Pantego clinic part of the week
Sound judgement about scope — knowing when a patient needs a level of care we do not provide

Front Desk / Patient Coordinator

The first voice patients hear: scheduling, benefit verification, and keeping the referral queue moving.

What you would do

Answer calls, schedule appointments, and manage the referral queue
Verify insurance benefits and tell patients their expected cost before the first visit
Greet patients at the Pantego clinic and keep the day running on time
Handle refill requests and route clinical questions to the right clinician

What we need

Front-desk or medical-office experience, ideally in behavioural health
Comfort with insurance verification and an EHR
Genuine patience with people who are having a hard day — this is most of the job
Spanish is a strong plus and is compensated accordingly
