What care at Lyte Psychiatry costs
Most insured patients pay a $0–$30 copay per visit. If you are paying cash, every rate we charge is published below — no quote required, no membership, no subscription. Prices are the same whether you are seen in person in Pantego or by video anywhere in Texas.

Self-pay rates
These are the prices for patients who are not using insurance, or whose plan Lyte does not participate with. Payment is due at the time of the visit.
| Service | Length | Self-pay |
|---|---|---|
| Initial psychiatric evaluationThe first appointment with a prescriber: full history, diagnostic assessment, and a treatment plan. Any prescription that is clinically appropriate can start at this visit. | 50–60 minutes | $250 |
| Psychiatric follow-upMedication management after the evaluation — response, side effects, dose adjustments, and refills. | 20–30 minutes | $150 |
| Therapy — initial sessionFirst session with a licensed therapist: what brought you in, history, goals, and the approach that fits. | 50–55 minutes | $150 |
| Therapy — follow-up sessionOngoing individual therapy with the same clinician. Weekly or every other week, depending on the plan you set together. | 45–50 minutes | $125 |
| QbCheck attention assessmentA computer-based objective measure of attention, impulsivity, and activity, used as one input alongside a clinical interview. Not a diagnosis on its own. | About 20 minutes | $150 |
| Late cancellation or no-showCancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead and there is no charge. Inside 24 hours — or a missed appointment — is billed at $100. Insurance does not cover this fee. | $100 | |
| GeneSight pharmacogenomic testCheek-swab pharmacogenomic testing that reports how your genes may affect the way you process certain psychiatric medications. Often billed to insurance or Medicare; the self-pay rate applies when it is not covered. | Self-pay price on request — call before you order | |
| IV nutrient infusionVitamin, mineral, amino-acid and hydration infusions given at the Pantego clinic, after a consultation. A complement to psychiatric care, never a replacement for it. | Self-pay price on request — set at the consultation |
Prices are per visit in US dollars and apply statewide. They are not an estimate of what an insured patient owes — see using insurance instead.
What the price includes
Benefit check before you book
If you are using insurance, the team verifies your plan and tells you the expected copay before the first appointment. No surprise balance afterwards.
One price per visit
The rate in the table is the whole rate. There is no intake fee, portal fee, prescription fee or telehealth surcharge layered on top of it.
Refills between visits
Routine refill requests are handled as part of ongoing medication management and are not billed as a separate visit.
Same price online or in person
A video visit from anywhere in Texas costs the same as an in-person visit at the Pantego clinic.
Using insurance instead
Lyte participates with Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, Cigna/Evernorth, Aetna, Humana, Medicare and Tricare, among others. Participation and benefits vary by plan, provider and service, so the team verifies your coverage before the first appointment and tells you what to expect.
Most insured patients pay $0–$30 per visit. A high-deductible plan can mean paying the contracted rate until the deductible is met — if that is your situation, ask whether self-pay works out lower for you before you book.
Sliding scale
A limited number of reduced-rate slots is available for patients experiencing financial hardship. Ask the front desk before you book — the reduced rate is agreed in advance, not applied after a visit.
HSA & FSA accepted
HSA and FSA cards are accepted for every self-pay service on this page. Psychiatric and therapy visits are qualified medical expenses under IRS Publication 502, and an itemised superbill is available on request for out-of-network reimbursement.
Pricing questions
How much does an appointment cost without insurance?
An initial psychiatric evaluation is $250 and a psychiatric follow-up is $150. Therapy is $150 for the first session and $125 for follow-ups. A QbCheck attention assessment is $150. Those are the full self-pay prices — there is no separate booking, portal or intake fee on top of them.
What will I pay if I do have insurance?
Most insured Lyte patients pay a $0–$30 copay per visit. What you actually owe depends on your plan's specialist copay, your deductible and whether it has been met. Lyte verifies your benefits before your first appointment and tells you the expected cost in advance, so the self-pay rates on this page are not what an in-network patient pays.
Which insurance plans does Lyte accept?
Lyte participates with Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, Cigna/Evernorth, Aetna, Humana, Medicare and Tricare, among others. Participation and benefits vary by plan, provider and service, so the team verifies coverage before your first visit. See the full insurance list →
Do you charge for a missed appointment?
Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead and there is no charge. Inside 24 hours — or a missed appointment — is billed at $100. Insurance does not cover this fee.
Do you offer a sliding scale or reduced rates?
A limited number of reduced-rate slots is available for patients experiencing financial hardship. Ask the front desk before you book — the reduced rate is agreed in advance, not applied after a visit.
Can I pay with an HSA or FSA card?
HSA and FSA cards are accepted for every self-pay service on this page. Psychiatric and therapy visits are qualified medical expenses under IRS Publication 502, and an itemised superbill is available on request for out-of-network reimbursement.
Do you charge more for telehealth than in-person visits?
No. A telehealth visit and an in-person visit at the Pantego clinic are the same price. Choose whichever fits your week — many patients mix the two.
When is payment due?
Self-pay visits are paid at the time of the appointment. Insured visits are billed to your plan first, and any copay is collected at the visit. Call 469-733-0848 if you need to discuss a payment arrangement before booking.
Know the price before you book
Call and the front desk will verify your benefits, quote your expected cost, and hold an appointment — most new patients are seen within 1–2 business days.
